SMS Terms and Conditions

Castparts Employees Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting your personal information. By subscribing to SMS text messaging, you consent to the following:

1. Data Collection: We collect your phone number, name, and account information to send account alerts and notices, as well as service updates. We collect this information during account creation and signup and revise/update the information when you enroll in online banking. SMS text messaging cannot be used to modify or update your account information or conduct transactions except to authorize loan payments from your account to a delinquent loan held by the credit union.
2. Data Usage: This data is used to notify you of account activity, security alerts, important financial updates, and to obtain authorization to satisfy delinquencies.
3. Data Security: We use advanced encryption, multi-factor authentication, restricted access control, and secure storage to ensure the security of your information.
4. Data Retention: Your information is retained as required by financial regulations. After this period, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.
5. Opt-In: To opt in to SMS text messaging, enroll for online banking at https://my.homecu.net/banking/hcuActivate.prg?cu=CEFCU.
6. Opt-Out: To opt out of SMS text messaging, you can:
   • Reply STOP to any message
   • Contact member services at (503) 771-2464
   • Follow our Opt Out Instructions​
   • ​We will remove your information from our messaging list within 10 days.
7. Non-Sharing Clause: We do not share your data with third parties or credit union SEGs for marketing purposes or any other purposes. Your data is used only for SMS text messaging through our HIPAA Compliant SMS provider, Syndeo, LLC dba Broadvoice (https://broadvoice.com/security-and-trust/).
